A system for tagging text files to achieve a certain font, color, hyperlink effect, or graphic on www pages. It's a markup language used to create websites on the World Wide Web, made up of markup symbols and codes. All HTML code is used to decide how a web browser will display the text and graphics on a web page; hence every web page is written in HTML code. HTML tags are used by web browsers, although they are not shown. An HTML tag's opening and closing tags are found (name of attributes and a forward slash). Due to its inability to build dynamic functionality, HTML is not regarded as a programming language. On the other hand, HTML allows online users to structure sections, paragraphs, and links with elements, tags, and attributes.

Hit - A page request command on a web server. A hit is essentially a request to a web server for a file. Because the quantity of visuals varies substantially from page to page, the number of hits can differ significantly. Even though its meaning is straightforward, many people misinterpret it, making it one of the most commonly misunderstood terms in online advertising - they use it to refer to unique visitors or page views. It can, however, be used to determine how much traffic a server can manage. A hit is recorded every time a web server sends a file to a browser.
The number of hits on a website during a given period is used to determine its traffic. However, it is merely a rough estimate. Because each download may result in many hits, this is an estimate. A server file corresponds to every banner, button, or hot-link on a webpage, for example. Consider visiting a website with a variety of content, such as videos and graphic graphics. Your single ‘visit' to that page could result in several ‘hits.
