About your position

  As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support to internal teams and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of IT systems. You will serve as the first point of contact for IT-related issues, troubleshoot problems, and escalate more complex cases when necessary. Your role will be key in maintaining a reliable and efficient IT environment for the company.

Job requirements

  • Act as the first point of contact for employees seeking IT support.
  • Perform troubleshooting and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Provide step-by-step assistance and walk users through problem-solving processes.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level IT staff or external vendors when required.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Document incidents, solutions, and updates in IT logs.
  • Follow up with users to ensure issues are fully resolved.
  • Suggest and contribute to improvements in IT procedures and workflows.

Qualifications

Education

High School diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience may also be considered.

Experience

Previous IT support or helpdesk experience preferred (internship or entry-level acceptable).

Skills in order of relevance:

 
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and IT products.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Knowledge of macOS environment.
  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-oriented mindset and patience under pressure.
